Midfielder Gavin Hurren has decided to stay with Tamworth despite AFC Telford United offering him a contract until the end of the season.
Hurren, who joined Telford in September on loan from the Lambs, was offered a longer deal after competition emerged from other clubs to sign him.
"He's gone back to Tamworth," Bucks' assistant manager Larry Chambers told BBC Radio Shropshire.
"He wanted a longer deal than the end of the season."
"We might look at it again in January. It doesn't mean we can't do anything in the future with Gavin."
The former Crawley and Mansfield midfielder missed a number of games during his time with the Bucks.
He served a three-match suspension after being sent off against Blyth Spartans in the FA Cup and he has recently recovered from an ankle injury.
