Swindon's Ritchie has 'no regrets' about Notts County
Ritchie has scored two goals in 10 appearances for Swindon Town
Swindon Town midfielder Matt Ritchie says he is not disappointed he did not sign for Notts County last season.
The 21-year-old spent four months on loan at County from Portsmouth this time last year and nearly joined them on a permanent deal.
Speaking ahead of Swindon's trip to Meadow Lane on Tuesday, Ritchie told BBC Wiltshire: "I've no regrets [about not joining].
"And have I've got no regrets about anything I've done in football so far."
Ritchie continued: "I've enjoyed my career so far and hopefully I can go on enjoying it."
The Hampshire-born winger is enjoying his second spell at the County Ground, making 10 appearances and scoring twice since arriving from Pompey in October.
He kept himself to himself but he was very polite, kind and made you feel welcome
Matt Ritchie on Sven-Goran Eriksson
And his spell at Notts County coincided with that of former England boss Sven-Goran Eriksson.
"He kept himself to himself but he was very polite, kind and made you feel welcome," said Ritchie.
"It was a massive name at a small club so it was a bit strange.
"There were a lot of changes going on while I was there. Ian McParland, who brought me there, got the sack.
"But the group of players were always going to get promoted [to League One]," he added.
"It was a great team and a good club and I'm glad it's now gone through the bad patch it went through and come out on the other side.
"It'll be a tough game but we'll be going there to get three points."
