Vincent Pericard hails loyal Robins boss Danny Wilson
Pericard's previous clubs include Juventus, Stoke City and Portsmouth
Swindon Town striker Vincent Pericard says the belief shown in him by manager Danny Wilson has helped him deal with criticism from the fans.
The 27-year-old struggled last season after joining from Carlisle but has found the net three times already during this campaign.
"Everyone knows I've been dealing with criticism from fans and it does affect me," Pericard told BBC wiltshire.
"What kept me going was the faith from the manager and keeping me involved."
Pericard continued: "Obviously I want to be liked and I want people to rate me and want me to play.
"I had a good pre-season and got some games under my belt which is showing now as I'm getting to my best form."
The former Juventus striker scored his first league goal of the season in the 2-1 away win against Walsall last weekend and was delighted by the response of the Swindon fans.
"It was a bit different and unexpected from the crowd who were very warm towards me," he said.
"I just need to keep my head down and enjoy my football now."
