Swindon boss Danny Wilson bides time on loan striker

Wilson's side have won just twice in seven league games this season

Swindon Town manager Danny Wilson says the form of his available strikers means he can wait for the right time to sign a forward on loan.

Wilson is currently without Charlie Austin who has a shoulder injury.

But he was impressed with Thomas Dossevi and Vincent Pericard who started in the 2-1 win at Walsall.

"Thomas and Vincent did brilliantly and that in itself suggests they do need to have a bit of a run together," the Robins boss told BBC Wiltshire.

The emergency-loan window allows clubs below the Premiership to sign players for up to three months at a time.

And Wilson is keen to wait until it suits him best to bring in another striker to the County Ground.

"We're going to wait as long as we can so hopefully the maximum 93 days of the loan period will take us over the Christmas period," he said.
