Swindon Town have appointed Kate Cady as their new head of sports therapy to oversee the club's medical and physiological department.

Cady replaces long-serving physio Dick Mackey who remains at the County Ground in a consultancy capacity.

"I am fully confident that she will make a significant contribution to the club," said Robins boss Danny Wilson.

"She is so highly respected by the management and the players and I am looking forward to working with her."

Cady is no stranger to Swindon Town having been on their pre-season tour of Austria and worked with the club's youth team for a number of years.

Wilson added: "After an exhaustive recruitment programme, Kate's professional approach, her wealth of experience, and her in-depth knowledge of her subject, made her a stand-out candidate.

"I am also delighted that Dick Mackey will be continuing his association with the club in a revised role, he has been such a loyal and long-serving member of the football management team."
