Scott Cuthbert hails improved Swindon Town defence
Cuthbert has represented Scotland at U19, U20 and U21 level
Swindon Town defender Scott Cuthbert says keeping clean sheets has improved the confidence of the whole team.
Danny Wilson's side have had a poor start to the 2010/11 campaign and are yet to pick up a league victory.
But a 3-0 Johnstone's Paint Trophy win at Southampton and 0-0 at Carlisle in the league have lifted the players.
Cuthbert said:"It was good to get on the front foot on Tuesday and Saturday and not concede that early goal. It makes us more confident going forward."
The 23-year-old former Celtic full-back was also quick to praise the impact of keeper David Lucas.
"He's been there and done it before," Cuthbert told BBC Wiltshire.
"He talks you through the game for 90 minutes and that's brilliant to have behind you."
