Swindon Town have announced Scott Cuthbert is the new vice-captain for 2010/11 season.
The former Celtic player will deputise for Jonathan Douglas, who was named as captain of the side last month.
The 23-year-old central defender, has made 45 appearances for the club, scoring three goals.
Cuthbert told BBC Wiltshire: "It's a great honour for someone of my age. It's a bit of a responsibility, but I'm looking forward to it."
Cuthbert captained the Scotland side that reached the final of the UEFA Under-19s Championships in 2006.
"I am absolutely delighted I have been picked." said Cuthbert. "It's a lot of responsibility that I hope I can use to my advantage this year.
"I know there's a lot of things I need to get better at and communicating is one of them.
"Hopefully this season I will get better at it."
