Danny Wilson's side start the new season at home to Brighton
Swindon manager Danny Wilson expects his side to be fresh when they return for pre-season training on Monday, despite a busy end to last season.
The squad were given an extra week's leave after making last season's League One play-off final.
"I'm sure they'll be fully charged and determined, sometimes you need complete rest," he told BBC Wiltshire.
"My advice was to get their feet up, have a few beers, don't worry about things and come back refreshed."
Wilson was sure his players would return to the County Ground in good shape.
"We wouldn't have thought they would have lost a lot of fitness over a short period of time, but you have to remember we had so many games towards the end of the season.
I think I've spoken more to my chairman than my wife in the two weeks I've been away

"We've got to get the basic foundations of fitness up again so the stamina and all things like that will be examined. We'll test for two days at a university we go to."
Whilst the squad has been away since their Wembley defeat to Millwall, Wilson says he has been hard at work trying to add to his team.
"I think I've spoken more to my chairman than my wife in the two weeks I've been away.
"We never switch off, you're always planning for next year. You're planning for new players, you're planning for trying to get games and tour organised."
