Wilson: Prutton and Rose add vital experience to squad
David Prutton made 25 appearances for England U21s
Swindon Town manager Danny Wilson says his first two signings of the summer will add vital experience to his squad.
Left-back Michael Rose and midfielder David Prutton are expected to complete moves to the County Ground this week.
Speaking exclusively to BBC Wiltshire, Wilson said: "Michael knows this league inside out and with David, he's played at big clubs and been very successful.
"Michael is a tough old warrior, and David is a creative player who will get forward, he's got a terrific engine."
Rose, 27, is signed to Stockport but spent the second half of last season on-loan at Norwich, helping the Canaries win the League One title and promotion to the Championship.
Wilson believes the former Manchester United trainee will be a big asset to Swindon.
Rose was on loan at Norwich for the second half of last season
"Michael has been on a terrific run with Norwich when he was there on loan. He's a good player coming forward, and I'm looking forward to working with him," added Wilson.
Prutton, 28, is out of contract with Colchester at the end of June. Hull-born, he has played for Nottingham Forest, Southampton and Leeds, and made 25 appearances for the England u21 side.
Wilson said: "David's played at the highest level so we know that he can bring something to us."
