Amankwaah, McGovern and Smith offered new Swindon deals
Defender Kevin Amankwaah joined Swindon on free transfer in 2008
Swindon have offered new contracts to three first team players.
Defender Kevin Amankwaah, 27, winger Jon-Paul McGovern, 29 and 30-year-old goalkeeper Phil Smith, are all in talks for new deals.
All three are out of contract at the County Ground in the summer and Robins boss Danny Wilson is keen to keep the trio at the club.
He told BBC Wiltshire: "They're not immediate issues but the good thing is that they've been offered."
Meanwhile, striker Billy Paynter is still in talks about his new deal.
The club have been in discussions with in-form Paynter for the past month.
He had been linked with a move away from the County Ground during the transfer window.
"We're still talking - there's no rush on these things," said Wilson.
"There's no window for them so once they're in the the club contracts can just be sorted out at your leisure."
But the Swindon Town manager was quick to add that just because the players contracts end this summer, it doesn't mean they can talk to other clubs.
"They can only speak to another football club should it be across borders. You can do a pre-contract after January but not in your own country so they're not free to talk to anybody."
