Swindon eye Bristol City striker

Lee Trundle
Trundle has scored 131 goals in 355 senior appearances

Swindon boss Danny Wilson says Bristol City striker Lee Trundle, 32, is one of his transfer targets.

Trundle is out of favour at Ashton Gate, but the two sides are believed to disagree over the proportion of wages the Championship side will have to pay.

Swindon had just one striker fit enough to play in Saturday's opening day 5-0 drubbing at Gillingham.

Elsewhere defender Jerel Ifil played in Aberdeen's 1-0 friendly win at Hull with a view to a permanent move.

Wilson told BBC Wiltshire he has been in discussions with Bristol City about Trundle for some time now.

"Talks are ongoing so we'll have to wait and see if anything can develop, We've had numerous conversations with the club.

"The boy [Trundle] is under contract for another two years, I think, so that is a major stumbling block," he added.
