Simeon Jackson scored a hat-trick as newly promoted Gillingham cruised to a resounding win over hapless Swindon.
Mark Bentley struck early on after Jackson set him up 12 yards out, and Jackson doubled the advantage as he volleyed home after John Nutter's pass.
Another fine delivery from Nutter gave Adam Miller a simple six-yard header.
With five minutes left Jackson once again found his range with a curling 20-yard screamer before adding a simple tap-in three minutes from time.
Gillingham hat-trick hero Simeon Jackson told BBC Radio Kent:
"It was a great performance to start off the season. It was magnificent.
"It's good to get the first hat-trick for the club under my belt and a good performance to boot.
"It's a good start but it's only one game - we have to kick on from here."
