Douglas is one of five new signings for Swindon this summer
Swindon boss Danny Wilson praised new signing Jonathan Douglas after his first goal for the club gave them a 1-0 win in a pre-season friendly at Luton.
The 27-year-old midfielder linked up with teenage striker Lloyd Macklin to fire home the only goal of the game.
Wilson told BBC Wiltshire the former Republic of Ireland international has settled in well at the County Ground.
"He's there to dictate and orchestrate the team and he does that and he's getting better every game," he said.
"He's got the ability to see things, he's an experienced boy," he added.
The Swindon manager also revealed he will not be offering deals to on trial strikers Cherno Samba and Scott Spencer.
The win continues the team's unbeaten run so far in the pre-season, but Wilson is not getting carried away.
"There was nothing much in the game, they had a few good chances, we had a few good chances," he said.
"We've shown glimpses of what we can do but we've been very loose at times at the back."
