Swans' Jones makes Swindon switch

Swindon have signed Wales international midfielder Owain Tudur Jones on a one-month loan deal from Swansea.

A key member of Swansea's League One promotion-winning side last season, the 24-year-old has had limited first-team chances this term in the Championship.

"It would have been quite easy to go on loan to a team that was mid-table where the players are going through the motions," he told BBC Radio Swindon.

"But I'm ready to come here, roll up my sleeves and get cracking on the pitch."

Jones has won three Welsh caps, the most recent coming as substitute in the 1-0 defeat to Denmark in November.

"I can see from training that it's a talented squad and is more than capable of climbing up the league," he added.

"If I can add that something extra I'll be pleased with that. I hope to provide a little bit of energy, get up and down, stick my foot in and try and add a little bit of everything to the mix."
