Swindon Town captain Hasney Aljofree has been ruled out for the rest of the League One season.
The defender, 30, injured himself in the 3-2 defeat by Yeovil on 20 December and will now have surgery on his knee.
Meanwhile Swindon manager Danny Wilson hopes Saturday's 0-0 draw at promotion chasers Oldham will boost his struggling team's confidence.
"I thought it was a fantastic result and I don't think Oldham can complain," said Wilson.
Saturday's draw was only their second clean sheet of the season.
"It showed the commitment and the resolve that the players have got, I thought they were fantastic," added Wilson.
"We kept possession really well and minimised their chances nearly completely.
"Overall I think we came out with a deserved point for the commitment they showed.
"It's fantastic because they're an honest bunch of boys, and I knew that before I came."
Swindon are currently 19th in League One, two points above the relegation zone and travel to Northampton on Tuesday.
