Former Plymouth midfielder Lilian Nalis has signed a one-year contract with Swindon Town, despite late interest from another English club.
The 36-year-old Frenchman was offered a deal after an impressive display in the 1-1 draw with Cardiff on Tuesday night.
Nalis told BBC Radio Swindon that he could have gone elsewhere, saying: "I had another offer, I had a decision to make and I'm pleased with it.
"There's a great dressing room and we need to carry on working hard."
Swindon's other target, Kasali Yinka Casal, has already expressed a desire to sign for Town but a deal needs to be agreed with his Dutch club Cambuur.

Manager Maurice Malpas also held talks with an unnamed Championship player on Wednesday about a move to the County Ground.
The player is understood to have been on loan to two League One clubs last season, and can play on either wing or up front.
