Swansea City have completed the free transfer signing of Finnish striker Shefki Kuqi on an 18-month deal.
The former Blackburn Rovers and Ipswich Town target man, 33, has agreed to move to the Liberty Stadium from German second division side TuS Koblenz.
Boss Paulo Sousa hopes Kuqi's arrival will ease their goalscoring problems as fourth-placed Swansea are the Championship's second lowest scorers.
"I'm moving to a club that is doing really well," Kuqi said.
Kuqi, widely known as the "flying Finn" - due to his flying goal celebration - enjoyed his most prolific spell at Ipswich Town when he scored 31 goals in 81 appearances in the Championship between 2003 and 2005.
Kuqi scored seven goals in his year in the Premier League for Blackburn before a £2.5m move back to the Championship with Crystal Palace in August 2006.
But the striker joined his brother Njazi at Koblenz after his release from Palace last summer where he scored seven times in 17 games.
"I'm sure that a player with his experience and maturity can only help us at Championship level," said Swans manager Sousa.
"He will help us improve. He is a quality striker who will add something different to our squad so that we can keep doing well in every game and be successful."
Swansea are realistic play-off contenders even though Sousa's side have scored just 23 goals this season - only second-from-bottom Plymouth Argyle have scored less.
Lee Trundle and Darren Pratley are Swansea's joint top scorers with five goals this season as Sousa has struggled to replace last season's top scorer Jason Scotland who followed former boss Roberto Martinez to Wigan Athletic last summer.
Kuqi who scored seven times in his 58 international caps for Finland, scored at the Liberty Stadium for Palace last season and hopes that is a good omen.
"I know Swansea like to play the game the right way," said Kuqi.
"And whether they play one or two up front, I don't mind.
"I like to put myself about and I can't wait to get started. I'm buzzing. I missed out on the play-offs with Ipswich on two occasions so I'm sure this will be third time lucky."
