Kuqi has impressed Royle during his loan spell |
Ipswich have signed Sheffield Wednesday striker Shefki Kuqi on a permanent basis. Kuqi moved to Portman Road on loan in September and has scored four times for the Division One side during that time.
No fee is involved in the move although Wednesday will receive a "promotion bonus" should Ipswich make it into the Premiership.
Ipswich boss Joe Royle told the club's official website: "Shefki has done well for us since he arrived here.
"I am delighted that he has agreed to join the club on a permanent deal."
Royle is also hoping to secure the permanent services of both Chris Bart-Williams and Alan Mahon, on loan from Charlton and Blackburn respectively.
But the Ipswich boss says financial problems could prevent him making all three signings.
"We may be out of administration but things are still tight," said Royle.
"We have to be very careful. We definitely want to do something. I'd love to keep all three at the club, but it will have to be one at a time."
