De Vries is in his second season at the Liberty Stadium
Swansea City goalkeeper Dorus De Vries admits talks over a new contract are "going on forever".
The 28-year-old Dutchman is out of contract at the end of the season and talks have been taking place for some time.
Manager Roberto Martinez is keen to hold on to De Vries who is the only senior keeper at the Liberty Stadium.
"It's just building up the contract," said De Vries. "It has to be correct and that's what we are waiting for."
Swansea snapped up De Vries on a free transfer from Dunfermline in the summer of 2007.
He was originally brought in as competition for Willy Gueret, but the Frenchman left on the eve of the 2007/08 campaign.
That left De Vries the only senior stopper and he was ever-present as the Swans ran away with the League One title.
He started this season again as the only senior keeper, but was sidelined for a month after suffering a fractured cheekbone in the 0-0 draw with Queens Park Rangers in October.
Former Greece Under-21 international Dimi Konstantopoulos was brought in as cover and almost joined permanently to challenge De Vries for his place, but missed the transfer deadline.
De Vries is confident his contract will be sorted out soon and insists he wants to stay in south Wales.
"Yeah, of course, it's a lovely club, so why not," he said.
"I've enjoyed my time here and I'm still enjoying it. It's just wait and see.
"It's up to my agent and the chairman to come together and keep on talking."
