Bodde joined the Swans from ADO Den Haag last year
Roberto Martinez says Ferrie Bodde is firmly focused on Swansea as they host Derby who wanted to buy the Dutchman.
The Rams had three summer bids turned down for the midfielder, 26, who handed in a transfer request before changing his mind and signing a new deal.
"What happened over the summer with the transfer speculation was for that time," said Swans boss Martinez.
"Ferrie made his decision, he is really focused and wants to enjoy his football with Swansea City."
He added: "I think it came down to one of those situations where you've got agents and issues away from football twist your mind.
"The summer is a period when you have to think about that as there is no football."
Bodde was involved in a much-publicised wrangle with the club over a proposed 2m move to Pride Park.
He ended an eight-week saga by signing a new deal with the Swans and apologising for "making mistakes".
The Dutchman, signed from ADO Den Haag for 85,000 in June 2007 has already scored two goals this season.
Swansea have enjoyed a better start to life in the Championship than Derby.
Last season's League One champions have seven points from their opening five games.
Former Premier League side Derby on the other hand have four points after winning their first league match in almost a year on Saturday, beating Sheffield United 2-1.
"It's probably the worst time to play them," said Martinez, whose side lost 2-0 at Crystal Palace at the weekend.
"They've got their first win, got a bit of momentum and they will be a confident side.
"I'm sure they are going to kick on and be a very strong side in this division.
"What we need to do is make sure we change our level of performance from Saturday."
