Derby chief executive Tom Glick insists that Paul Jewell's job is safe despite speculation about his future.
After seeing the Rams earn their first league win in the 10 months since Jewell took charge on Saturday, Glick told BBC Radio Derby: "Paul's our man.
"We've maintained all along that he's the man for the job.
"We're happy not just with him but with the side we've put together. It's early days but we're thrilled with the win and there's a lot of confidence."
Saturday's 2-1 win over Sheffield United meant the club avoided the embarrassment of going a whole year without a league win.
Their previous league victory was a 1-0 home win over Newcastle on 17 September 2007.
Jewell's men now face Swansea City at the Liberty Stadium on Tuesday night.
