A date has been fixed for Derby County's clash against Brighton in the third round of the Carling Cup.

The Rams will travel to the Withdean Stadium on Tuesday, 4 November.

Brighton stunned Manchester City in their second round tie, beating the Premier League club 5-3 on penalties on Wednesday after a 2-2 draw.

That game was delayed due to City's involvement in the Uefa Cup. The Rams won 1-0 away at Preston in August to put them into the last 32.
