Knight has been told he has no future at Swansea City |
Swansea City outcast Leon Knight says he still has no idea why he has been cast aside by manager Kenny Jackett. Striker Knight, 24, has not played for the Swans since he was transfer-listed by Jackett in October and is currently being forced to train on his own.
He said: "All he ever told me was that because I score, I've got more power to influence other people to play like me, which he believes is a lazy style.
"So am I basically being punished for scoring goals?"
He added: "To be honest, I'm past caring. The situation might have been sad to start with, but now it's just getting stupid."
Knight returned to League One promotion hopefuls Swansea last week after an unsuccessful loan spell with Barnsley.

Jackett had hoped the Championship side would sign the former Brighton striker on a permanent basis, but Knight's failure to score in nine appearances saw the Tykes pass up on that opportunity.
Knight was Swansea's top-scorer when he was made available for a loan or transfer in mid-October, with Jackett saying the striker "could have worked harder".
Jackett later indicated there were other off-the-field reasons for Knight's banishment which would come out in time.
This led to all manner of speculation of misbehaviour, but Knight maintains he has done nothing wrong.
"I did what Kenny asked me to do and bought a house just around the corner from the training ground," he told the Western Mail.
"I performed to the best of my ability for the team and I only missed training twice, which was through illness.
"I truthfully still have no idea why the manager wants me out."
Jackett reiterated his stance last week that Knight, who joined the club for 125,000 last January, had no future at Swansea.
Knight says he would gladly wear the Swansea shirt again, but is content to train on his own along the Swansea beaches for now and wait for another club give him a chance to resurrect his career.
"If Kenny Jackett asked me to play for the team again, of course I would," said Knight, who has rejected a chance to join Peterborough and Northampton.
"But that's not going to happen, but then you'd think that if they really wanted to get rid of me, why don't they play me and put me in the shop window?"
He added: "I can't mention any clubs, but I believe I'll get somewhere before the end of the month.
"At the moment, I'm just trying to keep myself as fit as possible."
