Blackburn enjoyed their afternoon at Swansea's New Stadium |
Blackburn enjoyed themselves in Swansea City's New Stadium with a pre-season 4-1 win, but were made to work hard. Swansea put the Premiership side under early pressure, but Morten Pedersen headed Blackburn into a half-time lead from Paul Gallagher's cross.
Brett Emerton centred for fellow winger Steven Reid to nod home, then Michael Gray pounced on a mistake for 3-0.
Swansea pulled a goal back from Andy Robinson's free-kick, but Blackburn struck again through Matt Derbyshire.
Blackburn's Wales striker Craig Bellamy was absent from the side, but former Wales midfielder Robbie Savage was given 45 minutes by Blackburn boss Mark Hughes - himself a Welshman.
Skilful Swans striker Lee Trundle, leading a three-man attack for the home side, created the first chance of the match, crossing for Adrian Forbes who could only head over.
Trundle, Forbes, Kristian O'Leary and Marc Goodfellow all brought good saves out of Rovers goalkeeper Brad Friedel, but Blackburn took a firmer grip in the second half.
