Carmarthen will play their Uefa Cup match in Cardiff |
Carmarthen Town will use Cardiff City's Ninian Park ground for their Uefa Cup second qualifying round home-leg against FC Copenhagen. That home leg will now by played on 25 August, as Copenhagen want to be in Denmark for the 11 August first leg.
Carmarthen had hoped to use Swansea's New Stadium as the Welsh Premier side's Richmond Park does not meet Uefa rules.
But Stadco, the Swansea Council-owned company which runs the 20,000-seat arena, was thought to want 25,000.
Cardiff owner Sam Hammam has said they can use Ninian Park for nothing.
Haverfordwest County used the Bluebirds' home for free to stage a Uefa Cup tie last year.
"We didn't charge County anything last season and we would welcome Town," Cardiff owner Sam Hammam had said.
"It was an easy decision to assist Haverfordwest and it will be as easy to help Carmarthen - they don't even need to say please."
Carmarthen used Newtown's Latham Park ground for the home leg of their first-round win over Longford.
But Copenhagen have a large travelling support and either Swansea's new home, with a 20,000 capacity, or Ninian Park, which holds 22,000, would have provided ideal venues for the match on 25 August.
''We want a ground that has the capacity to holding at least three or 4,000 people,'' Carmarthen manager Mark Jones told the Evening Post.
Copenhagen's average home attendance is more than 20,000 and the Danes have a strong playing squad to choose from.
Ole Tobiasen, a former Ajax defender, ex-Everton and Denmark midfielder Tobias Linderoth and former Aston Villa and Sweden striker Marcus Allback are all on Copenhagen's books.
Cardiff are away in the Carling Cup on 24 August - to Colchester - but have a home Championship match with Wolves on 27 August.
