Connor moved to Swansea from Rochdale for 35,000 in March 2004 |
Paul Connor says he is desperate to stay with Swansea following the collapse of a move to Darlington. The Quakers agreed a fee with Swansea for the striker, 26, but he says he was disappointed at the developments.
"I was gutted they said I could speak to Darlington because I don't want to leave," Connor told the South Wales Evening Post.
"I won't lie, I was pretty shocked but that is football. I want to stay here and fight for my place."
The Bishop Auckland-born forward was the Swans' second-highest scorer last season with 13, but started just one of their last four league games.
Connor joined Swansea for 35,000 from Rochdale in March 2004.
