Connor to fight for Swans future
Swansea striker Paul Connor
Connor moved to Swansea from Rochdale for 35,000 in March 2004
Paul Connor says he is desperate to stay with Swansea following the collapse of a move to Darlington.

The Quakers agreed a fee with Swansea for the striker, 26, but he says he was disappointed at the developments.

"I was gutted they said I could speak to Darlington because I don't want to leave," Connor told the South Wales Evening Post.

"I won't lie, I was pretty shocked but that is football. I want to stay here and fight for my place."

The Bishop Auckland-born forward was the Swans' second-highest scorer last season with 13, but started just one of their last four league games.

Connor joined Swansea for 35,000 from Rochdale in March 2004.
