Ferdinand joined Sunderland in 2008 after five years at West Ham
Sunderland defender Anton Ferdinand has reiterated his commitment to the club and says he is happy to be back in the side after injury.
Ferdinand, 25, had been out for two and a half months with an ankle problem and featured in an unusual full-back position in Sunday's draw with Fulham.
"I'm a team player and I will play anywhere for this club and for my manager," Ferdinand told BBC Newcastle.
"When I go out there I will give 110%, as you saw (against Fulham)."
The former West Ham United centre-back missed much of Sunderland's run of poor form since the turn of the year due to his injury, with the wait for a league win now extended to 14 games.
The Wearsiders' home form has been significantly better than results on their travels, with a run of three straight draws in comparison to three defeats in five away from the North East.
However supporters remain disappointed with the lack of victories and Ferdinand is adamant he and his team-mates need to cope with the pressure of playing at the Stadium of Light.
"I can't talk for the rest of the lads, but you won't see it from me, I look like I'm confident," Ferdinand continued.
"Because of the pressures of the game and from the fans, it's not in my character to be nervous in those situations.
"It is hard when you're the home team when the expectations are so big and they should be at a club like this.
"We as players have to deal with it, and if we can't we shouldn't be here."
