Sunderland's Lorik Cana hopes for upturn in away form
Cana was made captain by Steve Bruce following his summer move
Sunderland captain Lorik Cana is frustrated by his club's away form.
One-goal defeats at Fulham and Wigan in the last two weekends mean the Black Cats have not won away since August.
Cana told BBC Newcastle: "The most frustrating thing is we know we have the quality. We have the quality to play better than we have done.
"At times when you are not doing well in a game you have to keep the game at 0-0 and look for the chances in the second half," the midfielder added.
The Albania international has become a popular figure on Wearside for his combative displays at the heart of the Sunderland midfield after joining them in the summer from Marseille for £5m.
Sunderland's last away point was against Manchester United two months ago - a game they were seconds away from winning.
And Kosovo-born Cana said: "It's not the end of the season, we have more than half a season to show what we have shown at Manchester United and Bolton.
"I think we can find a solution for the future, it's not the end and I'm confident for the future."
Sunderland have lost six of their eight away games in the Premier League, but have won five out of seven at home.
