Eight of Sunderland's title-winning under-18 side have been awarded professional contracts for next season.
Striker Martyn Waghorn has already seen first-team action and Michael Kay has made the first-team as an unused sub.
Midfielders Jordan Henderson and Nathan Luscombe were impressive in the club's run to the FA Youth Cup semi-finals.
Jordan Cook, Michael Liddle, Jack Colback and Niall McArdle are the other names to sign professional contracts at the Stadium of Light.
The club have also announced their new academy intake in the shape of goalkeeper Ben Wilson, defenders Blair Adams and Liam Bagnall, midfielders Ben Wood, Nathan Wilson and Craig Lynch, and striker Ryan Noble.
