Pugh has not started a game in the Premier League for Stoke this season
Midfielder Danny Pugh has signed a one-year contract extension with Stoke City to keep him at the Britannia Stadium until 2012.
The 27-year-old, a £500,000 signing from Preston in January 2008, has made 50 league appearances for the Potters.
Both of his starts this season, however, have come in the Carling Cup.
The former Manchester United trainee has followed Liam Lawrence, Ricardo Fuller and Glenn Whelan in signing new contracts with the Premier League club.
Goalkeeper Thomas Sorensen and defender Ryan Shawcross are also in negotiations about extending their contracts.
