Stoke City midfielder Liam Lawrence is hopeful that talks over his new contract will be completed before the club report back for pre-season.
Lawrence, 27, has got a year remaining on his existing deal with the Potters.
"I've spoken to (manager) Tony Pulis and (chief executive) Tony Scholes, but they've not got back to me or my agent," Lawrence told BBC Radio Stoke.
"I'm disappointed that things are stalling because I want to get it out of the way and get pre-season started."
Lawrence signed for Stoke from Sunderland in January 2007 for £500,000, following a successful loan spell at the Britannia Stadium.
He has scored 21 goals in 86 games for the Potters and believes there is much more to come.
"I want to sign this contract and spend the best years of my career at Stoke City," added the Republic of Ireland international.
"I don't want to go anywhere else, I'm happy here, I've got a good relationship with the club and the fans, so hopefully we can this resolved."
Lawrence made his debut for Ireland in the 1-1 draw against Nigeria at Craven Cottage on 29 May.
