Stoke City manager Tony Pulis said his side must learn from their mistakes following Sunday's 3-0 defeat to Manchester City.
A Robinho hat-trick condemned the Potters to their fourth defeat from five away games this season.
"We are going forward and creating chances but we need to be more resilient," Pulis told BBC Radio Stoke.
"We're giving the ball away too easily, and if you switch off against quality sides you will get punished."

However Pulis said he has seen enough from his team to be optimistic about their chances of survival.
"There's a lot for me to take from the games that we've played," said Pulis.
"We've got to learn not to give teams opportunities, we are playing against great players who can hurt you."
