Pulis' Stoke side have taken seven points from opening eight Premier League games
Stoke City manager Tony Pulis has praised the determination of his side in Sunday's 2-1 win over Spurs.
Rory Delap's 53rd minute goal gave the Potters all three points after Darren Bent's strike had cancelled out Danny Higginbotham's penalty.
Pulis told BBC Radio Stoke: "That's the way I want us to play and that's the way the crowd wants to see us play.
"The crowd want to see determination and effort and we certainly showed those qualities today."
The result gave the Potters their second Premier League win of the season, lifting them above Newcastle to 18th in the table.
"I'm pleased for the players," said Pulis. "I was disappointed with the way we played after we scored and at half-time I got stuck into one or two of them.
"In the second half we got further up the pitch and I was pleased with the way we played."
Stoke face a second successive Sunday fixture next weekend when they play Manchester City at Eastlands (1500 BST).
