Stoke have won one of their opening four Premier League games
Tony Pulis has said he will look forward with excitement and not fear to Stoke City's forthcoming games with Liverpool and Chelsea.
The Potters went down to a 3-2 defeat to Everton on Sunday and now face a trip to Anfield before Chelsea visit the Britannia Stadium on 27 September.
Pulis told BBC Radio Stoke: "We've got two very tough games against top sides.
"We mustn't get disheartened, we've got to keep plugging away and maintain our levels of effort and commitment."
Both Ibrahima Sonko and Danny Higginbotham made their debuts for the Potters in the defeat to Everton, and Pulis said he was pleased with the performances of both men.
"I thought they did smashing, I was really pleased," he said. "The spirit within the team is fantastic and that showed when we came back from 2-0 down.
"In this game you need some good fortune and things to run for you, and against Everton we didn't have that.
"We've now played Aston Villa and Everton at home, who are two top Premier League sides and we've had a real go at them both."
