Lawrence has scored 15 goals for Stoke this season

Stoke City midfielder Liam Lawrence is convinced that Sunday's game against Leicester is the biggest of his career.

He told BBC Radio Stoke: "You can't put a price on Sunday, it would mean so much for Stoke to be in the top flight.

"I've played in big games for Mansfield and Sunderland but this is the biggest of my career."

Lawrence was named as both the Players Player of the Year and Fans Player of the Year at Stoke's annual awards dinner on Monday night.

The Britannia Stadium is sold out for the visit of the Foxes, and Lawrence said the fans have played a crucial role in the Potters push for promotion.

"I don't think the fans know how important they are, at the start of the season we were getting 12-13,000 and that was disappointing.

"Lately we've been getting crowds of over 20,000 and that really has been like having a 12th man."

Conversely, the 26-year-old said the players are aware how much promotion will mean to the fans.

"We know it's massive for the fans, we know how they're feeling and what they want. As daft as it sounds we want it as much as they do.

"To be able to say that we were the lads that got Stoke into the Premier League is going to be unbelievable.

"The lads talk about what will happen if we do go up, having the likes of Manchester United at the Brit.

"It's going to be fantastic if we do go up, and I believe we will."
