Stoke City manager Tony Pulis admits he plans to talk to Portsmouth about the possibility of taking England striker David Nugent on loan. The 22-year-old former Preston forward has also been linked with a loan move to Stoke's Championship rivals Ipswich.
Pulis told BBC Radio Stoke: "I don't know what's happened with Ipswich, but if we're going to do business then we'll do it with Portsmouth."
"If there's an area that we need another player it is up front."

Nugent moved to the south coast last summer but has so far struggled to make an impression at Fratton Park, starting just four Premier League games.
He is currently sidelined with an abductor injury and Stoke chairman Peter Coates says the Potters will keep tabs on Nugent's fitness before making an approach.
"A move for him (Nugent) is a possibility. I understand at the minute that he's not fit so we would have to wait for that to clear, but it's definitely something we're keeping an eye on."
