Stoke can bounce back - Shawcross
Ryan Shawcross
Shawcross has made 38 Stoke starts since moving from Manchester United
Defender Ryan Shawcross says Stoke City still believe they will get promoted despite back-to-back defeats.

The Potters had enjoyed five straight league wins to put them top of the Championship but defeats at Preston and QPR have brought them down to earth.

"We've had two disappointing results but we can bounce back," the centre-half told BBC Radio Stoke.

"That's the way football goes, you take knocks but we're a good team and we have to show that."

City have now dropped to second in the Championship, just one point above Watford who have a game in hand.

The Potters travel to Vicarage Road on 15 March but before that face tough games against Burnley and Norwich.

"We all knew that it was unrealistic to think that we could win every game between now and the end of the season, but the next few games have been made more important," added Shawcross.

"Now we have to remember what it was that we did to get good results and then hopefully we can put a run together."
