Cort relieved at scan all-clear
Leon Cort

Stoke City's Leon Cort has not broken his ankle, as had been feared.

The former Crystal Palace defender was stretchered off during the second half of the defeat at Preston, but a scan has revealed it was just bad bruising.

Cort told BBC Radio Stoke: "When I landed on it I thought I was out for the season, it hurt that much, but when I went inside the pain eased off.

"I'm so relieved and should be ok to play against QPR. I want to be part of this battle to the end of the season."
