Comminges joined Swindon in 2007 from French side Reims
Southend United defender Miguel Comminges says he hopes to get his career back on track at Roots Hall after a long-term knee injury.
Comminges, 28, joined from Cardiff after spending a loan spell at Carlisle earlier in the season.
He made his Southend debut from the bench in Monday's defeat by Cheltenham.
"I've been injured for a long, long time and this is a good opportunity for me to try and get some games," Comminges told BBC Essex.
The Guadeloupe international, who is now playing under boss Paul Sturrock for the second time in his career, added: "I played for him for six months in Swindon before he left to go to Plymouth.
"I think he is a good manager, that's why I decided to come here to try to get back on track."
