Southend midfielder Anthony Grant is expected to be out of action for up to two months with an ankle injury.
The 22-year-old picked up the complaint in the second-half of Saturday's 2-2 draw with Swindon Town.
An MRI scan on the ankle showed that the former Chelsea trainee has badly damaged ligaments and will now see a specialist later this week.
Grant has been a regular in the Blues' midfield this season, but could be out of action until April.
