Southend United defender Adam Barrett believes the side need to be more consistent following Saturday's 3-0 defeat at Leicester City.
Steve Tilson's Blues are 11th in the League One table after falling to Matt Fryatt's second consecutive hat-trick on Saturday.
The 29-year-old Southend captain told BBC Essex: "We could do with some consistency and continuity.
"Hopefully we can have a good month or two and get ourselves back in the mix."
