Southend United boss Steve Tilson says he will be sad to see midfielder Nicky Bailey leave the club.
The 24-year-old is set to join Charlton Athletic after the Blues accepted an improved offer.
Tilson told BBC Essex: "We've done a deal with Charlton, I'll be disappointed to lose him."
The Blues manager said the club had to let him leave: "He's a good player but I'm not sure he wants to be here so it's difficult to keep him."
