Former Watford winger Albert Jarrett is having a trial with Southend United. The 22-year-old will play in reserve team games for the League One side as manager Steve Tilson runs the rule over the Sierra Leone-born player.
Jarrett was released by Watford boss Aidy Boothroyd at the end of last season, following their relegation from the Premiership.
He has also loan spell with Boston and Milton Keynes Dons prior to his departure from Vicarage Road.
