Southampton have appointed former Brentford boss Wally Downes to their coaching staff.
He has more than 30 years' experience as a player and coach and left his coaching role at Reading this summer.
Saints boss Alan Pardew has already brought former Brighton boss Dean Wilkins and ex-Wimbledon manager Stuart Murdoch to St Mary's.
He said: I'm delighted to have been able to add Wally to my backroom staff at Southampton."
