Ben Herd has twice enjoyed victories during Darren Moss's three-game ban
Shrewsbury defender Ben Herd hopes he has done enough to keep his place in the start line-up despite Darren Moss being available for selection again.
Both defenders have been competing for the right-back position all season, but Moss has missed the last three games through suspension.
"I feel I've done enough to earn a spot but it's the manager's decision.
"I'll go out there and give my all. It's all I can do," Herd told BBC Radio Shropshire.
"I think I've represented myself pretty all right in the last three games."
Since Herd came back into the team, Town have won two of their last three league games. But their away form continues to be a concern after Saturday's 3-1 defeat at Luton.
Herd also lost his place through suspension in November after picking up five cautions.
But Moss, the man who took his place, was then sent off against Bournemouth at the start of February.
Both defenders will be ready for selection when Shrewsbury travel to the Moss Rose on Saturday to play Macclesfield.
