Humphrey joined Shrewsbury after impressing them in a reserve game
Shrewsbury Town winger Chris Humphrey has not heard anything about a rumoured move to Aston Villa.
The 21-year-old, who was on loan at Stafford in 2007, had been linked with high-flying Villa at the weekend.
But he told BBC Radio Shropshire: "The first I saw about it was in the papers. It's a flattering thing to hear about but nobody's said anything."
Humphrey was spotted by Gary Peters playing for West Brom when he lined up against Shrewsbury in a reserve game.
He has established himself in the first team this season under Paul Simpson after recovering from a broken jaw he sustained against Lincoln in November last year.
The winger has scored one goal from 11 appearances for the club in League Two this season.
