Shrewsbury defender Graham Coughlan will be sidelined for around three weeks with a hamstring injury.
The 33-year-old limped off in the first half of Town's 1-0 Carling Cup defeat by Carlisle United.
"He felt it go during the game, and early indications are that he'll be out for two to three weeks," Town boss Paul Simpson told BBC Radio Shropshire.
Paul Murray faces a precautionary scan on his ankle. "He got whacked a couple of times pre-season," Simpson added.
