Graham Coughlan signs for Shrewsbury for an undisclosed fee
Shrewsbury Town have finally signed Rotherham United's 33-year-old defender Graham Coughlan on a two-year deal after chasing him since May.
Rotherham's uncertain future in the Football League helped persuade Coughlan to move.
"I don't know what's going to happen to them over the next couple of weeks, but it's a worrying time," he told the Shrewsbury Town website.
His former clubs include Blackburn, Plymouth and Sheffield Wednesday.
Coughlan believes Shrewsbury have a real chance of promotion this season.
"The calibre of players that the manager has brought in is excellent, and Shrewsbury is the club the other League Two sides are talking about the most," he added.
"Let's hope they're still talking about Shrewsbury Town in May."
