Sheffield Wednesday have completed the signing of midfielder Chris Sedgwick on a two-year contract.
The 30-year-old is manager Alan Irvine's first signing of the summer following his release from Preston North End.
Sedgwick told the club's website: "I've supported Wednesday all my life, my family are all Wednesdayites too so to get this opportunity is fantastic."
The midfielder will officially join the Owls on 1 July.
Sedgwick added: "I've wanted to play for Sheffield Wednesday for such a long time so to get this sorted is a great feeling."
The midfielder made 254 appearances for Preston after joining them in 2004.
