Ertl will be the first Austrian to play for Sheffield United
Sheffield United have completed the signing of Austria defender Johannes Ertl on a free transfer.
The 27-year-old, who has won seven caps, has signed a two-year deal after his recent release by Crystal Palace.
Manager Kevin Blackwell told the club's official website: "He's a good lad who can do a very solid job at right-back, central midfield and even centre-half.
"He has played enough times in the Championship for me to know he can come in and do it for us here."
